Our HP blade servers, our NetApp storage units and our Cisco next generation network allow us to offer the highest performance together with total redundancy and high availability.

Currently we have two Data Centers located at Madrid and Miami. Our infrastructure in Madrid is installed at Interxion Madrid, a Tier III datacenter and one of the best in Spain and Europe. Interxion, is the leading datacenter operator in Europe, with 33 Data Centers distributed in 11 European countries.

In Miami, our platform is located at Terremark Miami, also known as NAP of the Americas, a Tier IV datacenter, the highest possible industry certification ensuring the best quality and availability. Terremark Miami, part of the Verizon group, is one of the most important datacenters in the USA, and enjoys the best Internet connectivity with Latam.

With these two datacenters, Gigas' customers can choose the best option for their cloud datacenters at the location closest to their end users, decreasing latency and improving service quality. Gigas international datacenters are also used by some customers as part of their backup and disaster recovery plans, providing an extremely high availability solution.

The main characteristics of our Data Centers are:

Redundant double electrical connection

Our Data Center enjoys two independent connections from different electrical companies, guaranteeing the electrical supply.

Uninterrupted Power Supply and Batteries

Our Data Center is also equipped with an Uninterrupted Power Supply system, supported also by batteries to cater for any possible emergency

Redundant Diesel Generators

Additionally, independent generators are available on-site ready to provide the required electricity should the main connections from the electrical companies fail.

Cooling Systems

Cooling systems specially designed for high density environments (cube distributions) and completely redundant, maintain the rooms where Gigas equipment is installed in perfect conditions of temperature and humidity.

Fire Protection

The entire Data Center is equipped with the most advanced and strict fire protection and alarm measures, through next generation detectors and extinguishing systems based on gas, to guarantee the integrity of the equipment and data.

Access Control

Our Data Center is built with strict access controls with multiple biometric systems that provide an exhaustive access control to the different areas of the building as well as the registration of the location of each person inside the building.

24x7 Security

Security Personnel controls de building and its perimeter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Delivery and collection of equipment

In order to guarantee the security of the Data Center, strict protocols and checks are followed for any delivery or collection of equipment, which blocks any unauthorized movements of equipment. A special delivery area is reserved for the control of any new delivery.
