The aim of the project is to develop a technological solution that provides an automatic back-up service in a cloud environment for small companies and the self-employed, perfectly adapted to the lack of technical knowledge and lack of staff time, strengthening the security of SME data and promoting the digitisation of their operations. This service will be offered for both physical workstations and Windows servers. The platform has the capacity to preserve all types of information, from hidden folders, to heavy documents, trash, databases, private keys, application folders, e-mail documents or downloads, avoiding any possibility of deletion or modification, even by the user himself.
The new solution developed will allow SMEs and the self-employed to have a cutting-edge back-up that is extremely easy to use, facilitating the organisation and protection of information by automatically backing it up, with the security and robustness provided by the GIGAS cloud. In this way, the project is conceived as a boost to the digitisation of companies, but also as a guarantee of business continuity that would not be affected by the loss of information in the event of a possible ransomware attack. In the event of such an attack, companies would be able to recover information and documentation even the minute before the infection, and would be able to continue with their activity.
The project has been co-financed by the European Union with NextGenerationEU funds.
